El misil “Tsirkon” fue lanzado contra un objetivo naval en el mar de Barents, al sur de Rusia.
Moscú, 4 oct (EFE).- La Armada Rusa ha ensayado por primera vez el lanzamiento de un misil de crucero hipersónico “Tsirkon” desde un submarino, informó este lunes el Ministerio de Defensa de Rusia.
Según indicó la entidad castrense en un comunicado, el misil fue lanzado desde el submarino “Severodvinksk” contra un objetivo naval en el mar de Barents.
“Según los datos de control objetivo el vuelo del misil correspondió a los parámetros requeridos e impactó el objetivo”, afirmó el Ministerio de Defensa ruso, que calificó la prueba de “exitosa”.
Rusia ya había ensayado este tipo de misiles en 2020 desde buques rusos.

Durante las pruebas de superficie, los misiles lanzados alcanzaron alturas máxima de 28 kilómetros y destruyeron blancos ubicados a 450 kilómetros.
Estos misiles son capaces de desarrollar una velocidad hipersónica superior a Mach 8.
