Ciudad de México, 10 de octubre (SinEmbargo).- Yat-Sen Chang, exbailarín principal del Ballet Nacional Inglés (ENB), pasará nueve años en prisión luego de haber sido declarado culpable por abusar sexualmente de varias estudiantes de danza.
El juez Edward Connell apuntó que el delito del exbailarín “había tenido un impacto profundo en sus víctimas y que no había demostrado ningún remordimiento”.
El pasado mes de mayo Yat-Sen Chang, de 49 años, fue declarado culpable de 12 cargos de abuso sexual y un cargo de “agresión por penetración”. Los delitos ocurrieron en el Ballet Nacional Inglés y la Young Dancers Academy de Londres entre 2009 y 2016 y están vinculados con cuatro adolescentes que tenían entre 16 y 18 años en ese momento.
Las víctimas acusaron a Chang de tocarlas de manera inapropiada durante masajes en las escuelas. Durante el juicio, Chang dijo que “no tenía idea” de por qué se hicieron las acusaciones en su contra y dijo que no había tocado a ninguna de las denunciantes de manera inapropiada o sexual.

Pero los fiscales describieron a Chang como un bailarín de ballet de renombre internacional que utilizó su puesto para cometer delitos sexuales contra jóvenes estudiantes a las que enseñaba.
