La escalada de tensiones llegó después de que el Gobierno francés decidiera reducir el número de visas para personas del norte de África como Argelia, Marruecos y Túnez.

MADRID, 3 Oct. (EUROPA PRESS).- La presidencia de Argelia ha anunciado este sábado que el país ha convocado “de manera inmediata” a su Embajador en Francia después de que varios medios franceses y argelinos se hicieran eco de unas declaraciones del Presidente francés, Emmanuel Macron, acerca de la actual situación política en el país africano que los argelinos han tildado de “ataque intolerable”.

“Tras las declaraciones no refutadas que muchas fuentes francesas atribuyen personalmente al Presidente [Macron], Argelia expresa su rechazo categórico de las interferencias inaceptables en sus asuntos internos a través de estos comentarios”, ha declarado la presidencia en un comunicado recogido por la agencia de noticias APS.

Según el diario Le Monde, Macron habría calificado al país de “sistema político militar”, con una “historia oficial reescrita”, durante una reunión con descendientes de figuras destacadas de la guerra de independencia argelina este jueves.

“Estas declaraciones son un ataque intolerable a la memoria de los cinco millones 630 mil valientes mártires que sacrificaron su vida en la heroica resistencia a la invasión colonial francesa”, ha defendido la presidencia argelina en el comunicado.

Ante esta situación, ha asegurado el órgano, el Presidente argelino, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, ha tomado la decisión de convocar a consultas al Embajador del país en Francia.

La confrontación se ha producido la misma semana que el Gobierno de Francia ha anunciado un drástico recorte del número de visados concedidos a ciudadanos de Argelia, Marruecos y Túnez, argumentando que estos países no cooperan en el proceso de deportaciones.
